Osteoporosis : Causes, Symptoms and Prevention
Osteoporosis is a degenerative bone disease characterized by the gradual loss of bone density and quality, leading to weakened bones that are more susceptible to fractures and breaks. While bones may appear solid and unchanging, they are actually living tissues that are constantly being broken down and rebuilt. In individuals with osteoporosis, the rate of bone loss overtakes the rate of bone formation, resulting in fragile bones.
